Rigging Bitmap Character

Image
Hey Guys! Thursday the 30th of September 2021 Because I'm 'special', I'm rigging my character as a bitmap instead of vector. Watching Tutorial of:      https://www.toonboom.com/little-taco-truck-check-out-these-toon-boom-harmony-bitmap-tutorials Didn't bring headphones cause thought didn't need them, I was wrong. Seems like need to extract more images/files from Rey for it to work. How to Import Bitmap layers into Harmony as Drawing Layers: Backgrounds: Looking to tv Climbing through window Looking to kitchen run across lounge Low angle going into hallway looking from back bookcase looking to fox, 3/4 back of bookcase 3/4 looking from back bookcase  front of fox Memory - 'lounge background from chair' about to hit Photo-frame high angle, looking to lounge from bookcase high angle, looking to parent's from bookcase Doorway climbing up the side table Mother Background Rey talking background - looking to bed Monster closing in.  Hey Guys! Wednesday the 29th of September 2021. Got a bit to do for game to catch up as I'm behind the pause and menu scene, also input character animation, finish level design and UX. Need to do: Game Level Collaspe Bookcase Hinges for Wooden panel - week 6 Lighting - week 5 Memory 'floating' Character falling down collapse bookcase. Character Animation Clean up Input Animate Draw up Menu and Pause Screen Head display Will need to rewatch this class video, as I'm very lost. Then again its my fault as I'm behind. Memory Suggestion: Have the memory pop up when they arrive at the memory instead of pause screen. Menu Idea change to the outside of the house instead of the TV as I think might be hard to animate transfer. Death scene: Another Canvas.  Fade to black - Puddle Death. Screen flashes - Capture. Next week: AI Make Monster sprite sheet for roaming with sound is too much. Work I done today after class: Need to add Credits to Menu

Rigging our Character

Image
Hey Guys! Tuesday the 28th of September We are starting to rig our character, which as I've got alot of animating to do, I'll be doing. I understand we have to learn how to do this, but I think as we don't have a lot of time. Think it'll be better if we do our character rigging, rather than class exercise. Old Rigging Example: New Rigging Example: Change to Pass through in Node View, Composite: REMINDER TO PREMINATE ROTATE POSITION: TURN OFF ANIMATE MAN Organize nodes Set Node Properties BACKGROUNDS: Harmony, File, Export, Layout Image... Character Plan Rigging: Rigged template edit to Rey: Will add deformers in next class For the Monster Rigging, I need to understand how to split up the monster. So how does it walk? I like this walk style: Reference/drawing example https://www.deviantart.com/silent-mime/art/Riley-Walk-Cycle-405152080

Finish Animatic - Now layout for tomorrow class.

Image
Hey Guys! Monday the 27th of September Done animatic, shown below is the finish work. https://youtu.be/3rT8ubIo_bA Now Layouting! Ready for Toon Boom Harmony. Exported PDF and put non animatic scenes (ie warning and credits) in another folder. Ready for Premiere Pro, so when animation is done I can add to premiere pro easy. Will edit credits and warning into animation style, but that'll be the last thing. UMMMMmmmmmm.... why is audio do that? incorrectly cut the audio I did in storyboard and also made some stuff very quiet..... Ughhhhh! I'll do that again tomorrow (or another day).... Procreate to Photoshop test complete Okay for now just grouping and camera locking, in harmony. Opps, seems that my background is a bit small... Will have to ask Ruby how to get the size of camera for the next backgrounds.

Out of Class finishing off Animatic

Image
Hey Guys Friday the 24th of September Still bit tired from the vaccine and sore arm, which got yesterday, but I gotta finish this animatic before Tuesday as we are going to start animating. Act 2 part 3 is now to big to work on and now made Act 2 part 4. Also today when drawing up Rey for game design class realized I haven't really kept to my sizing, and will have to edit sizing in animatic before continuing. So I thought that the fox teddy seems a bit big compared to Rey, and it was. Shown before is the size comparison. Feedback from Ruby:
