Rosina (Macchina Renaissance) Story

Her story is that her father is a lord of a small town near Venice (before Venice was flooded). He planned a masquerade ball for he’s only daughter’s 21st birthday, which Rosina was excited to go.

That was until, the lord received a threating note. Stating that this person was angry that the lord ignored the people of the towns cries for help, which this caused this person to lose someone they cared about. In which the lord would know this feeling. Eye for an eye.

With this threat emanating, the council recommend the lord to continue with the ball, as it was an empty threat as they didn’t hear any cries for help from the townsfolk (which was a lie, during the time of the cries they didn’t tell the lord). But the lord wasn’t too confident, and told Rosina to stay in her room, not telling her why as he didn’t want to worry her and lose her as well. As his wife passed away not too long ago.

Rosina, didn’t listen, and went anyway, as the fantasy of meeting her noble at a ball was something she dreamed since she was a child. Wearing the gown her mother made for her daughters 21st, before she died.

During the time of the masquerade ball, she was flattered by the amount of people complimenting her. But this one mysterious man intrigued her the most. He treated her like a princess, it was magical. Then she said it was her birthday today, which was her demise. The mysterious man escorted her out to the garden and killed her.

After some time went pass, the lord didn’t hear or notice anything abnormal at the ball. So, he went to his daughter’s room to invite her to the ball. She wasn’t there. He told security to go and look for her. At that time, a maid screamed from the garden. You can guess why.

In the lord’s grief he asked many wizards and sorcerer for a way to bring her back, but all said there isn’t any way to save her. Then one of the servant’s recommend a scientist that live in the town. In this world, it was wrong to do science, it was all magic. But the lord was desperate, he didn’t want to lose her.

The scientist suggested to remake her, as the brain and her heart wasn’t too damage.

Skin became calico, her face was molded with ceramic, her hair became threads of cotton, and her insides became machine. The only thing of her was her brain, heart and eyes. She was then put into a tank, wearing the gown she died in and tubes plugged into her. Her father then waits for his little girl to return.
