Lockdown Class ???? - Lost count, missed some blog (Opps) - Game Design

 HEY GUYS!
Today is Wednesday the 8th of September 2021

We are back to Level 2 (lockdown), so we can go back to campus now. I will defiantly go back for 2D animation as I can't really do it here at home, but I think I'll alternate for Game Design as I feel comfortable and confident to do it at home.

So today we did colliding stuff within our game or with the template Rachel supplied us. I worked with my game as most of the stuff she was talking did relate to my game, platformer game.

I was a little stupid/slow, like my computer didn't want to have sound, so I missed a little stuff, question how she got that and ask for her to repeat it. During class, when she kept saying you don't have a collider on my playable character, I was so confused with that. After class.... I figured it out.... I'm still face planting the table.

Would be using Polygon Collider for platforms:

(I have tidy the colliding areas up, this was the screen shoot before I added other things)

Edge Collider for the stairs and platforms that are 'ghost' (the player can jump onto the platform and jump off, by using up and down keys).

We haven't covered this yet, but this is what I think is how it works?
