Treatment:

Act 1:

The Monster walks through the lounge into the kitchen, Rey enters the lounge through the back window. Rey makes his way through lounge quietly.

Act 2:

Rey stealthily enters the hallway, taking in the environment. He sees his little sister door. Riminess. The Monster makes a loud sound, meaning he is coming through the hallway. Rey hides. The Monster passes, going into bathroom.

Act 3:

Rey continues, entering the parent's room. His Mum sits in a chair in front of a tv, lifeless. Rey climbs up to the side table, trying to get his mother attention. The Monster enters the room without Rey noticing and sneaks up behind Rey. Rey terrified turns around. The Monster snatches Rey up.

Pre-Outline:

Sports are loudly playing on the TV.

The Monster walks through the lounge into the kitchen, Rey enters the lounge through the back window. Rey jumps off the windowsill and jogs quickly to the door to the hallway.

Rework to make it more a near miss - Maybe go back to original original idea of bookcase and running away.

Story think about child getting super close to the goal and think about keep the monster still coming (ie don't forget the monster)

Treatment Part 2:

Act 1:

Sports are playing loudly in the lounge. The Monster walks through the lounge into the kitchen. Rey pops up from the outside the back window, enters the lounge through window. Rey jumps off the windowsill and jogs quickly to the door to the hallway.

Act 2:

Rey goes through the door, climbs up onto a bookcase. He looks around the hallway reminiscing, like he misses this place. He accidently push over a photo of a family in a frame, it falls to the ground. The Tv goes quiet, the monster is coming. Rey hide behind a book. The monster looks into the bookcase, continues walking, steps onto the framed photo. Picks it up, putting it back where it was. Monster walks to the end of the hallway. Opens the door to look into the room, to see if the person is still there. Goes to the left of the door to the bathroom. Rey jumps off the bookcase and heads towards the end of the hallway.

Act 3:

Rey enters the end of the hallway room, looks like a parents room. His Mum sits in a chair in front of a tv, lifeless. Rey climbs up to the side table, trying to get his mother attention. Rey hears something behind him, terrifies turns around. The Monster is pleased he found his lost toy and snatches Rey up.
