Company:

Moonbit Studios

One Paragraph analysis the game:

This is 2D semi-pixelate sides roller, which a young girl called Ruby, starts to get scared and uneasy with her toy rabbit that her grandmother gave her. Which she had full reason to get scared of as the toy disappears without anyone touching it. I haven't played this game (yet) but have seen some people play it on YouTube (to name a couple Markiplier and Jacksepticeye). The game story is simple yet effective, the challenge to play this game does increase over time.

A New Zealand Game:

Company/Developers:

JaffaJam and Marker Limited

One Paragraph analysis the game:

2D Platformer, I didn't see the story or the point of the game. The logic of the puzzle were interesting and the design was cute, but that's really it.

A Triple-A game:

Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection
(Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed 2 Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed 2 Revelations)

Company/Developers:

Ubisoft

One Paragraph analysis the game:

3D Third Person Metroidvania

Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection, is a collection of three games, where the player plays as Ezio, the Assassin that reignite the assassin cord. I quite enjoyed the first two of the three, Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood, but not really Revelations as one, the main areas of 2 and Brotherhood was based in Italy, and in Revelations, its based Istanbul. The other reason was, during the Assassin's Creed games up to this point, Desmond, the character you are playing to go to the past (using their DNA) to play as Ezio, you'll also start to see Alter, the ancestor before Ezio and Desmond. It got a bit messy with story and I believe the mechanics changed in Revelations, they felt a bit more clunky.

I really enjoy fixing up the Assassin's Creed, finish with full Sync in memory, etc. I haven't gone past Revelations yet, but I'm not looking to it as I got some spoilers to that the fact you don't play as Desmond anymore.

Game Title:

(TO BE THOUGHT OF)

Intended Game System:

The plan to make this game for any portable devices and desktops. So anyone can play this game and hopefully people can open their eyes to possible calls of help.

Target Audience:

I planned to target all ages with this game to call out Domestic Abuse and any Toxic Families, but the game will more than attract the ages between 10-15 years old.

A Summary of the Game:

Story:

The story is about a child, which is either in a nightmare or in limbo, wants to get his mother out of the house and to somewhere safe. But his monster of a father is quite processive of the family and would do anything to keep them for himself. The Child has to be stealthy, making his way to his parent's room, to get his Mother out. But will she go with him? Or will his father find him?

World:

The World where we are playing is placed in a home with a family that is in the lower income. The home is a mess, with rubbish and broken items laying around. The player would be playing the Child that would be a size of a regular coffee cup, so everything would be big around/to them.

Characters:

Player Character/Protagonist:

The hood is mostly always up, only hoodie down when he should vulnerability.

Antagonist:

This character believes that he has the right to do anything to his family as he does a lot for them. Yet, outside his family, he is seen as the idle father, except when he gets drunk.

Side Characters :

Mother:

The Mother is the Goal target for the Child to save. She is tired, bummed up, physically and mentally, distant from the world. She's tries to be the focal point for the Father's anger (or anything else) to let out on, rather than her children. But it got to a point where she couldn't handle it anymore, or she couldn't keep her children safe.

(Possibly) Dog:

The Dog will be more of a sound/obstacle for the player. The Antagonist would come to it while the player would be hiding and if the Antagonist doesn't see the Player, the Antagonist would hit the dog to shut up. (This would be off screen)

(Possibly) Little Sister:

The Little Sister would be more of a hand or something small like that, not fully shown. I was thinking to show some hand signals that I saw on the internet that would be helpful for more people to know. Something discreet that the person/people that are harming/hurting the person that is giving the signal to not notice. (Will be researching New Zealand Signals, as the signal I saw was from Canada)

Game Play:

Side scroller/Platformer, where the aim of the game is to get to Parent's Room to save Mum, without getting caught from Monster. There would be obstacles that would make noise, you have to keep quiet and out of sight from Father.
