Homework - Research

 Hey Guys!
Due on Thursday the 4th March

As I already have an idea of what to do, I'll be looking into Youtuber Animators/Storytellers for inspiration in design aspects. Also probably look into how they tell a story as well, even though the character I'll be 'creating' would be myself.

  • What existing practices inspire you style-wise?

From last year learning the Certificate of Creativity, I realized that the best designs in animation are the simple and symmetrically.

Things that inspires me from InspiredrawAW Designs:

Line thickness, thick outline
Line colour for inner lines
Colour palette

Things that inspires me from JoCat Designs:

Realistic Humanoid Anatomy
Extra thin line work for texture
Colour Palette
No shadow/gradient, if there need be they do a darker colour for making it 3D.

Things that inspires me from UltraMarine Designs:

How they animate
Colour palette - pastel

  • What existing characters appeal to you personality-wise?

Even though this character will be myself, these creators are very similar to myself and I connect with them during their story telling.

  • What kind of character are you thinking of doing for this semester?? Start brainstorming and making notes!
