Friday the 19th of March

I ask Traci for some help as I was hugely embarrassed from last class. I tried asking others, my partner for help to grammar, but it turned into stress as he was telling things that Traci said not to do.

INT. STUDY ROOM - AFTERNOON

KYNN, 22 year old student, busy head down, working on a computer, with a cat, PIKA, nestle into a cubbyhole on the desk. Kynn thumps her fist onto the desk in frustration, waking Pika in surprise. Kynn apologies to Pika by giving them a pat, puts on headphone and going back to work. Pika not fussed about encounter, prepares to go back to sleep, but notices something behind Kynn. Pika jumps off desk and sits on the mat, surveilling the area.

Traci's Notes:  KYNN, a 22-year-old animator, sits busily drawing on her computer screen/tablet, head down, a pair of headphones hanging around her neck.  PIKA, a slim, bright yellow cat, lies nestled into a crate cubbyhole on the desk. KYNN thumps the desk in frustration with her fist.  PIKA jerks awake in surprise.  KYNN gives PIKA an apologetic pat, pulls her headphones on and resumes her work. 

Pika reassures nothing is wrong, turns back around to jump back onto desk. Then a shadow creature stands behind Pika mencing. Pika swipes back around with claws out. The Shadow jumps back. The two staring each other down. The Shadow eyes up the desktop tower, Pika notices what the shadow is thinking and prowls towards the desktop, getting in the way of the shadow and desktop.

Traci's Notes: 

The shadow pounces onto the wall, trying to get around Pika. Pika jumps onto the wall trying to catch the shadow. The shadow jumps off the wall to the floor, before Pika can get them. Pika follows them, always a second too slow. Kynn listening to music while drawing, unaware what's happening behind her, while the shadow jumps from one side of the room to another corner of the room, while Pika is chasing it.

Traci's Notes: 

The shadow jumps in front of an orange bean-bag, Pika follows, but the shadow jumps up. Pika slams into the bean-bag. This is the shadows chance, it dashes towards the desktop. But it stops inches away from it. The shadow is confused, looks behind itself, sees Pika snarling with shadow's tail it Pika's mouth. The shadow startled, a beat past. Pika flings the shadow into the open closet. The shadow blinks in surprise, then in frustration. Pika gives a warning growl in an attack position. The door of the closet closes. Pika still in an attack position, believing that the threat is gone, relaxes, cleans their paw. Pika then turns around, jumps back onto the desk. Rubs up on Kynn. Kynn pats back. Pika curls back into cubbyhole on the desk.

Watching the opening scene to Iron Giant, comparing to the script. This shows that script doesn't have to be exactly the finish project. 

I couldn't confidently complete the script without a reader writer so I start sketching out thumbnails of posters.
